Ashley Nottingham

Ashley is a versatile choreographer, passionate about all styles of dance and story telling through movement and music interpretation.

His current work includes Andrew Lloyd Webber’s STARLIGHT EXPRESS directed by Luke Sheppard at the Troubadour, Wembley Park Theatre in London.

He received great critical acclaim for his choreography in Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s PACIFIC OVERTURES which was co-produced by The Menier Chocolate Factory and Umeda Arts Theatre in both London and Japan (Tokyo & Osaka in Japanese). He previously worked at the Menier on the musical staging of LEGACY: Maria Friedman & Friends.

He choreographed TOP HAT and SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN at the Mill in Sonning, as well as UK tours of SPAMALOT, END OF THE RAINBOW and SHERIDAN SMITH IN CONCERT. Ashley has choreographed 3 annual productions for the Singapore Repertory Theatre and numerous Pantomimes over the years featuring Warwick Davis, Priscilla Presley, Lesley Joseph, Alison Hammond and Craig Revel Horwood to name but a few.

For television Ashley has choreographed work for BBC, ITV, CHANNEL 4 and SKY. He has created dance routines for the professional dancers of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and for the UK version of Dance Mums.

He studied at The London Studio Centre, graduating with a degree in Theatre Dance and teaching qualifications with I.S.T.D. Time permitting, Ashley can be found teaching his SHOWDANCE class for professional dancers at a Pineapple Dance Studios, London.
