Director
Hannah is a double Olivier Award-nominated director and dramaturg, with a focus on new writing and work centred on underrepresented aspects of the female or queer experience. She started her career as Resident Assistant Director at Soho Theatre, and went on to form all women theatre company Damsel Productions, who recently produced critically acclaimed, sell-out show The Ministry Of Lesbian Affairs. She was recently Resident Director at National Theatre Studio and is currently directing the National Theatre’s schools tour of Bacchae. Outside the National, she has worked at venues including the Barbican Theatre, the Kiln Theatre, Southbank Centre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Regents Park Open Air, the Other Palace, Soho Theatre, and Traverse Theatre. As a dramaturg she has supported the Soho Young Writer’s Lab, and read for the Verity Bargate Award, the National Theatre’s script reading panel and the Women’s Playwrighting Prize.
