Indhu is the Artistic Director of the National Theatre. Bacchae was her inaugural production in 2025.
Indhu was the Artistic Director of the Kiln Theatre from 2012-2023.
Her directing credits include the multi-award-winning Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti (Evening Standard Award and Critics’ Circle Award), which transferred to New York and London’s Garrick Theatre as part of the Kenneth Branagh Plays at the Garrick season. Handbagged was first produced at the Tricycle Theatre, winning an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre, before transferring to the West End/ 59e59 NY/The Roundhouse in Washington DC and subsequent UK National Tour. Handbagged was also nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Comedy and returned to the Kiln Theatre in 2023.

Her productions at the Kiln/Tricycle Theatre, Royal Court, Almeida and Hampstead Theatre include: Women, Power and Politics, Stones in His Pockets, Detaining Justice, The Great Game: Afghanistan, Fabulation and Starstruck Belong, Disconnect, Free Outgoing, Evening Standard Award-winning Lift Off, Clubland, The Crutch, Sugar Mummies, Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined, Yellowman and Pulitzer Prizewinning Anna in the Tropics.
