Marianne's debut film The Salt Path starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024.
Her recent theatre work includes the West End premiere of Cock by Mike Bartlett staring Jonathan Bailey, and Death of a Salesman co-directed with Miranda Cromwell (Young Vic Theatre & West End; Olivier Award for Best Director of a Play).
For Elliott & Harper Productions: Company (West End & Broadway; winner of 5 Tony awards including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical, 4 Olivier Awards and the Evening Standard Award for Best Director of a Musical), the West End premiere of Simon Stephens’ play Heisenberg at Wyndhams Theatre.

Marianne directed two episodes of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads for the BBC, starring Tamsin Greig and Harriet Walter.
Marianne Elliott is the only woman to have won 3 Tony Awards for Best Direction. In 2018, she was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for her Services to Theatre.
